Child Care Programs

Children, Youth and Teen Programs: Offers family care referrals (on base home daycares), School Age Care for after school programs, and CDC (Child Development Center) which takes children six weeks thru six years.

Child Development Center: Offers hourly, part time or full time child care for children 6 weeks thru 5 years.

Boys and Girls Club: Two programs are offered here.

Stone Street Youth Pavilion: School age care for children in Kindergarten through 12 years old. The staff provides activities, field trips, assists with homework and more. Before school care (5:45am-8:00am) and take they will take the children to school. After school care (2:30pm-6:00pm) and pick them up from school.

TT Youth Pavilion: Ages 6-12. Offering homework help and activities for kids.

Exceptional Family Member Program: Information and referrals. The Respite Care program provides 40 free hours of childcare.

Piano Lessons: Offered through the Tarawa Terrace Youth Pavilion.

Youth Sports

Base Youth Sports:

Track and Field: Registration in February for ages 5-15. Season April-June.

Baseball: Registration in February for ages 5-15. Season April-June.

Softball: Registration in February for ages 5-15. Season April-June.

Jr. Golf League: Registration in February for ages 10-15. Season April-May.

Basketball Camp: Registration in May thru early June for ages 6-15. Camp is in June.

Volleyball Camp: Registration May thru early June for 7-12th graders.  Camp is in June.

Football Camp: Registration May thru early June for ages 6-15. Camp is in July.

Cheer Camp: Registration May through early July for ages 5-15. Camp is in July.

Soccer Camp: Registration May through early July for ages 5-15. Camp is in July.

Cheer Basic Stunt: Registration May through early July for ages 5-15. Camp is in July.

Sports Skill Camp: Registration May through July for ages 5-9. Camp is in July.

Football/Flag:  Registration July thru August for ages 8-15.  Season is September-November. Weight limits apply.

Soccer: Registration July thru August for ages 5-14. Season is September-November.

Cheer:  Registration July thru August for ages 8-14. Season is September-November.

Flag Football: Boys and girls.  Registration July thru August for ages 6-8. Season is September-November.

Boxing: Ages 8-17.

Swimming Lessons: Swim lessons offered May thru September.

Martial Arts: Lessons for children ages 3-5 for Little Dragons class. Other classes are available at the Tarawa Terrace Youth Pavilion.

Gymnastics: Step Ahead Gymnastics, and Classic Gymnastics. Ask around for recommendations.

Jacksonville Parks & Recreation: Offers a few programs the base does not: dance classes, tennis, skateboard, toddler meetings, Tae Kwon Do, vogue modeling, and more.
