  2. Declutter and photograph your belongings
  3. Give notice on your lease, using the SCRA if you need it
  4. Book lodging, pet travel and utility transfers
  5. Pack the do-not-pack zone and your first-night box
  6. Pack-out and load, then clear quarters
  7. Report and sign in at your new duty station
  8. Move-in inspection: document everything before you unpack
