Randolph Family Housing offers historic homes inside the gates of JBSA-Randolph, the famous “Showplace of the Air Force” in Universal City, just northeast of San Antonio. Managed by Hunt Military Communities, the neighborhood is known for its stucco exteriors, original hardwood floors, and Spanish Colonial Revival character, with homes renovated since 2007.
Most homes have four bedrooms, and some plans have five. The operator lists dozens of floor plans, such as a four-bedroom, three-bath layout of about 2,187 square feet. Features vary by home and include central air, Energy Star appliances, decorative fireplaces, patios, private backyards in select homes, and carport-style carriage houses.
The gated, walkable community includes a pool, fitness center, community center, parks, and playgrounds, and trash, recycling, and bulk pickup are included. Housing is open to active duty across enlisted and officer ranks, and may also be available to retirees, DoD civilians, and Guard and Reserve members.
